Once Pilsdon had negotiated the security they got to learn all about devolution and Welsh democracy in the Senedd. This building is absolutely stunning and was designed to symbolise a tree. It is basically the Welsh Houses of Parliament, and during the visit Pildson took part in some debates of their own, before learning about the inner workings of the assembly chamber and its sixty assembly members.
Next up, it was a boat trip across to Penarth and around Cardiff Bay itself, where the captain taught everyone about the ports fascinating history and ecology. During the trip, Pilsdon got to see many iconic buildings and even met the captain's friendly first mate, who loved the children's company!
