Pilsdon Pen enjoyed an amazing afternoon of scientific inquiry, as they dissected lambs and pig hearts, with the help of parent governor and science teacher Mrs Ballam. During the afternoon, the children got see the different chambers of the heart, and see just how different the thickness of each chamber wall was. They also discovered that arteries were far thicker than veins, because they transport blood under pressure. It really was a fascinating experience for all involved, and it was lovely to see the children sharing their knowledge, so enthusiastically with parents and the rest of the school, during celebration worship. Super learning everyone and thank you Mrs Ballam!
