We had a fantastic day today with Kat and James from the Blackdown Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty organisation. We worked in our forest school area identifying wild flowers and bugs and net sweeping. We couldn't believe how many different species of creature we were able to find.
The afternoon was then spent in our outdoor environment making a bug hotel, planting wild flowers and installing bat and bird boxes and a hedgehog house. The walkway to our rear outdoor area is going to be a haven for wildlife.
