Performance of Little Princess

The children at St. Andrew's Primary were joined by the Key Stage 2 children from Mrs Ethelston's this week to enjoy a performance of the Little Princess.  After the performance the Year 6 children from both schools took part in a workshop.  The rest of the children joined together to carry out tasks to find out information about each other.

In the afternoon the children took part in various sporting activities.

Mrs Ethelston's New Logo

Change of Logo

We are very excited about our new logo! Thank you for your help on choosing this. An overwhelming majority voted for option 3. Governors have agreed to proceed with the new logo from 1st September 2013. It will be used on all correspondence as much as possible, however school uniform will not change until April 2014 as stock has already been purchased bearing the previous logo. When the new logo is introduced, there will be a change over period when either logo will be acceptable. This will enable parents to continue with old uniform until new items are purchased.

Robins Visit the Aquarium

Robins Class visited the Lyme Regis Marine Aquarium on Wednesday 8th May. They had a fantastic trip learning about things that live under the sea, and enjoyed walking from the school and back, stopping for a drink on the return journey!

'We walked to the Aquarium, we watched the man feed the grey mullet' - Josh

'We held a starfish' - Lily

'I stroked a lobster' - Hebe

'We went to the beach. We built a sandcastle. We had a look at the fish' - Nia

Beetle Drive Fun

The children at St. Andrew's had fun this week when they played Beetle Drive after school.  Many of them had never played the game before but they soon got the hang of it and there was great excitement in the room.  The overall winner was Joe from Oak class with a fantastic score of over 130 points.  It is hoped to repeat the event and we may even let parents play this time.
