Oak Class Trip to London

Oak Class Trip to London

On Wednesday 11th March, children from Year 5 and 6 from St. Andrew's Primary Chardstock were given the amazing opportunity to fly to London for the day.  The children flew from Exeter to London City Airport. They had an early start arriving at the airport at 5:30am and were in the air before the sun rose. After having a bird’s eye view of the Shard and other landmarks, the class touched down before 8am. Excitedly, they caught the DLR to the Tower of London and the tube onto Westminster.

Neil Parish, the school’s MP, had arranged for a tour of the House of Lords which gave the children a fantastic insight into British democracy and its history. They also managed to fit in a trip to Natural History Museum and a boat trip down the Thames before catching their flight home.
